One of the biggest investments you are likely to make is the purchase of a motorhome and it is essential that due diligence is a necessary pre-requisite before you commit to such a large capital investment. We offer a full pre-purchase inspection on any prospective motorhome you intend buying, the age is irreverent. Once you decide on the vehicle and engage our services we can arrange a mutual time with the seller so we can vet the vehicle properly and carry out a very detailed assessment and prepare a full written report for you, the buyer.
Our assessment is based on the vehicle overall condition, ALL appliances and ancillaries are fully checked for condition, for satisfactory operation, for serviceability and a written report on each is supplied with recommendations if required.
A thorough non evasive damp check is performed and all readings are recorded and prepared on a check sheet for your satisfaction and for future reference and we will make recommendations where we deem it to be necessary.
Once we are satisfied that the vehicle has been inspected properly we prepare a detailed written report and this is forwarded to you by email and followed by a hard copy in the post. This takes approximately 24 hours to do after the inspection has been performed. This report is only given to you, the prospective purchaser, and you can use this report to negotiate with the seller should you deem that necessary. If faults are found during the inspection we will make full recommendations on what is required to repair satisfactorily with a written estimate/quotation where possible or suggest that a problem requires a more in-depth investigation. Our pre-purchase inspection gives you, the buyer, the peace of mind and permits you to establish the true condition of the vehicle before making a commitment to buy.
We always act with the interest of the buyer in mind, you pay us for the service therefore the report you get will always be fully representative of the vehicle condition. If a seller wishes to engage our services we will provide the same written report, it will be truly reflective of what we find.
If you wish to avail of this service then please get in touch with us to organise a provisional date and time for the inspection and you can agree a mutual time with the seller. We will forward you a link via e-mail for on-line payment of the agreed fee and when we receive this payment we will provide you with a confirmation for the service. Alternatively you can make arrangement for payment by other means before inspection commences.
**Please note**
Our report is based on the habitation side of the vehicle (the living quarters) and all associated equipment within. It does not include a mechanical inspection of the base vehicle (ford, fiat,vw etc). We can also provide a full mechanical report on the mechanics, the body condition, corrosion and rust checks and engine condition with recommendations if required. This service takes additional time and will incur additional costs on top of the inspection fee. Please contact us for details.
